Saturday Walks

Saturday Walks are between 7 and 8 miles long and start within a reasonable radius of Polegate/ Eastbourne. They all start at 9.30 am. and there is a coffee break about halfway. We shall be finished by 2.00 pm.

Make your own way to the start point but share if possible and don’t forget to contact the walk leader to book your place.

Saturday 31st October – Upalong & Downalong 6.5 miles, 1 steep(ish) hill, no stiles
A very familiar downland walk around East Dean with views across Eastbourne. Refreshments/lunch possible in the café at the end.

Saturday 28th November – Around Kingston’s Castle Hill Nature Reserve 7.2 miles, 2 steep hills, 4 stiles
This walk starts with a steep hill from Kingston village up to Kingston Ridge, where we get wonderful views across the Ouse Valley to the East. From there it is typical downland walking as we follow a circular route which takes in a nature reserve before enjoying great views to the North and back down that steep hill to the end.
