Saturday Walks
Saturday Walks are between 7 and 8 miles long and start within a reasonable radius of Polegate/ Eastbourne. They all start at 9.30 am. and there is a coffee break about halfway. We shall be finished by 2.00 pm.
Make your own way to the start point but share if possible and don’t forget to contact the walk leader to book your place.

October 4th Chiddingly Circular 7.5 miles 5 stiles No steep hills
This flat walk starts at Chiddingly car park and then heads west passing through pasture land, cereal fields and woodland before turning north and then west to complete the circle. The Six Bells pub at the finish provides an opportunity for refreshment if desired.
Starting point: Chiddingly Village car park (W3W:circling.excavate.chairs). Start at 9.30 a.m.

November 1st Castle and Coast 7.5 miles 0 stiles
With no steep hills, this is a linear walk from Pevensey Castle to the De la Warr Pavilion in Bexhill over fields to Pevensey Bay and then along quiet roads and shingle shoreline. Loos available at Pevensey Bay car park and Bexhill. We will be returning to the start by the 99 bus to Eastbourne, alighting at the Church Lane stop.
Starting point of the walk is at the west entrance to Pevensey Castle grounds in Castle Road (W3W: hints.fight.camps) where on-street parking is available. Alternative parking can be found in the Pevensey Town Trust car park to the east of the castle – 3 pounds all day. Start at 9.30 am.

November 29th A Winter Wander over the South Downs 8 miles 0 stiles
A circular walk from Eastbourne Youth Hostel to East Dean and Friston return. Some hills. Steep roadside walk at the start and a steep climb from East Dean to Friston Church.
Starting point: Eastbourne Youth Hostel, East Dean Road (W3W: thigh.offer.rocks). Start at 9.30 a.m.
